Purchasing

Functions as the buying agency for all Town Departments. This unit prepares specifications for sealed competitive bids, RFPs and RFI’S for purchases of all major operating equipment, services, supplies, and goods. All procurement and awards for large items and small supplies are made within the parameters of stipulated General Municipal Laws 103 and 104. Blanket and purchase orders are prepared and processed. Departmental appropriations are made via data entry, and are approved as well as monitored for sufficient funds and appropriate vendor use. Economies of scale utilized whenever possible.
