File FOIL Request

Pursuant to New York State’s Freedom of Information Law (FOIL), members of the public may request copies of Town records, with certain exceptions. In order to request Town records, the requestor must submit a FOIL request form. This form may be viewed by clicking the link below.

Copies of Town Board Resolutions, Ordinances, Local Laws and Transcripts and all other records (Including Building Violations and Rental Registration Records):

Please Click Here to file a FoIL Request online via the Town Portal. If you do not already have an account click "Register Now" to create one. Once created you will be brought to the online FoIL request. In the sub type select the option that most closely aligns with what you are looking for, then in the text box write what documents you are looking for. Please provide as much detail as possible to ensure the correct documents are provided and that they are provided without delay.

Only the top section of the form must be filled out, please include as much detail as possible for the information you are seeking.

Once a request is filed, the request will be acknowledged within five (5) business days, at which time you will be notified of its estimated time of completion.
