6. A PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE TOWN'S INTENT TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR EPA BROWNFIELDS CLEANUP FUNDING; TO CONSIDER A TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THAT APPLICATION; AND TO CONSIDER A PLEDGE TO COMMIT MATCHING RESOURCES FOR THE EPA GRANT.

Synopsis: The Town intends to submit a grant application by December 3, 2012 to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) seeking $275,000 in Brownfields Cleanup grant funding to support removal of contamination and demolition of the Grand Street School structure, for facilities that support the New Cassel Yes We Can Community Center, and for the future development of affordable housing by the North Hempstead Housing Authority.

8. A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 70 OF THE TOWN CODE ENTITLED "ZONING."

Synopsis: The purpose of the amendment is to establish "Mixed-Use Building" as a Special Use Category for properties zoned as "Business B" and located within the Port Washington Business Overlay zoning district.

9. A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 33 OF THE TOWN CODE ENTITLED "LAUNDERETTES".

Synopsis: The purpose of the amendment is to eliminate the restriction prohibiting the operation of launderettes on Sunday, and to make such other amendments as deemed necessary.

Synopsis: The rescission and adoption of this ordinance will establish a No Parking from Midnight to 7:00 a.m. restriction; and a 30 Minute Parking zone for a certain distance on the west side of Bond Street, north of Summa Avenue; and at the same time establish a No Parking from Midnight to 7:00 a.m., Monday Thru Saturday restriction; a One Hour Parking zone from 7:00 a.m. to Midnight, Monday Thru Saturday; and a No Parking Sunday restriction on the west side of State Street, north of Summa Avenue, in New Cassel. 1. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF EMERGENCY INTERMUNICIPAL AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY AND VARIOUS VILLAGES LOCATED WITHIN THE TOWN.

Synopsis: These agreements will allow the following Villages: Roslyn Estates, East Williston, Plandome Manor, Plandome, Port Washington North, Russell Gardens and Sands Point to dispose of storm debris generated from clean-up related to Hurricane Sandy at the Town of North Hempstead Transfer Station.
