The town offers a free discount card to seniors which enables them to take advantage of discounts at Town facilities, local merchants, adult education courses and half-fare on MTA Long Island buses. This card is necessary for the food shopping bus. For an application call (516) 869-7719 or Click Here to print out a version of the form.
You Must Attach Proof of Age and residence with Your Application ( i.e. copy of drivers license)

A list of merchant discount stores will accompany your Identification Card when issued. Please show your card when making purchases at stores listed in the directory.
CARDS ISSUED AS LONG AS YOU RESIDE WITHIN THE TOWN TO RESIDENTS AGED 60 AND OVER ARE VALID FOR YOUR LIFETIME. IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO RENEW THIS APPLICATION.
