The following programs are provided by the Town of North Hempstead. Please see the calendar for an updated event schedule.

FUNDAY MONDAY

Funday Monday is open to all seniors of the Town of North Hempstead. For eight Mondays in July and August (rain date Thursdays) seniors gather at Bar Beach for a day of dancing, entertainment, card playing and socializing. The program runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Seniors bring their lunch and purchase beverages and snacks at cost. There is free bus transportation throughout the Town and parking for seniors is free on Mondays. For a copy of the Funday Monday Program or bus schedule call: (516) 869-7719

FEBRUARY FUNDAY (WINTER)

The winter reunion of Funday Monday is called February Funday. It is held indoors at a catering facility where a delicious lunch is served. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Limited free bus transportation is available. Call: (516) 869-7719

SENIOR RECOGNITION DAY

Every May, in recognition of May as " Senior Citizen Month, " we pay tribute to all senior citizens for their accomplishments and contributions. In a special Recognition Day ceremony we honor deserving members of Senior Clubs as well as other citizens who have enriched the lives of seniors. Each honoree is presented with a certificate.
