Thank you for visiting the T.O.N.H Teachers’ Corner and taking the first step to build a bridge between local government and our students.
At the Town we recognize that the young people of today are the decision makers of tomorrow and it is our goal to inspire them to become active participants in our community.
From our Mock Town Board program where students learn how Town government works, to our Earth Day events that promote environmental stewardship, to our annual North Hempstead Day celebration which focuses on sharing the rich history of our Town, we invite you and your students to join us.
Inspired by our concern for the environment, we have posted our suggested teaching guides online in an effort to save paper. Now you can save trees by simply printing copies of only the information that you like.
If you are interested in an outreach program on a subject that is not listed on this website feel free to share your suggestions with our outreach team. Some of our best ideas for programs come from the community!
To schedule a visit from one of our Town ambassadors please contact the outreach division of the Department of Community Services by phone at 1-516-869-6311 or email us at OutreachTeam@NorthHempsteadNY.gov.
