Supervisor Jon Kaiman and the North Hempstead Town Board announced the initiation of yet another component to the School Recycling Partnership Program: The School Composting Cooperative. Under the School Composting Cooperative, North Hempstead will supply all schools with a brand new, professional composter as well as lessons from the Town's horticulturist to teach the students successful composting techniques.
