“Healthy on the Hill” Farmers Market to Kick Off with Help from North Hempstead

North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Town Councilwoman Anna Kaplan are proud to announce that the Town will partner with the Spinney Hill Coalition to kick off a community Farmers Market every Sunday, starting on July 12. The Farmer’s Market will be opened from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 125 Community Drive in Manhasset (corner of Pond Hill Road).

Shoppers will be able to find locally sourced, fresh fruits and vegetables with the convenience of a farm stand right in their own backyard. The market will accept EBT, debit cards, credit cards, Farmers Market Nutrition (FMNP) Senior, and WIC checks, as well as cash.

The Farmers Market is sponsored by the Spinney Hill Coalition: North Shore –LIJ Office of Community and Public Health, First Baptist Church, Lakeville AME Zion Church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, St. Paul AME Zion Church, Hispanic Community of Great Neck, Manhasset Great Neck EOC, Manhasset- Great Neck Community Child Care Partnership, Parent Child Home Program, North Hempstead Housing Authority and local legislators and in part by the Manhasset Community Fund Greentree Good Neighbor Fund.
