Town to Host Winter Wonderland at Clark Garden

North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board are proud to announce that the Town will be hosting the Winter Wonderland Train and Light Show from December 17 to December 21 both outside and inside the historic Clark House at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson. The FREE holiday event, which spans five days, promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Each day the events will include:
• Holiday lights in the garden
• An outdoor steam locomotive donated by Willis Hobbies
• An indoor Garden Railway provided The Long Island Garden Railway Society with a display including old time steam trains, trolleys and a Christmas village.

The full schedule of daily events includes:

A Winter Wonderland kick off on Sunday, December 17 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union. The day’s events will include holiday story time with Supervisor Judi Bosworth and friends, free face painting and hot chocolate, American Idol Contestant Bryce Larson singing holiday songs by the fire, a photo booth, arts and crafts and indoor and outdoor train displays and light displays.

On Monday December 18, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. bring your dog to a ‘Winter Pawty’ at Clark Botanic Garden for a stroll through the Garden’s light and train displays and have your dog’s photo taken with Santa!

Tuesday, December 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jam Dance Studio of Great Neck will be teaching free holiday dance routines.

On Wednesday December 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be story telling by the fire with the Williston Park Library staff at the Clark House along with arts and crafts!

The final night of Winter Wonderland will be a kids’ disco dance party featuring DJ Kev Dee on Thursday, December 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will also include free face painting, star gazing for the Winter Solstices with Hofstra University’s astronomy department, and a visit from Santa and the Albertson Fire Department.
