Add Some Love to Your Home by Adopting a Dog from the Town’s Animal Shelter

North Hempstead, NY – Each month North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board feature several dogs who are up for adoption at the Town’s Animal Shelter. This month’s featured pups include Jessie, Royal and Louise:

Jessie is a female six-year -old retriever mix. Although she might be shy at first, with a few treats and some patience you can win her heart in no time. Jessie already knows all of her basic commands, enjoys long walks and the company of canines. She would do best in an adult home that will give her all the comfort, cuddles, and assurance she needs.

Royal is a female 5 year old pit bull hound mix who is sweet, loving and has a playful personality. She loves long walks on the trail, cuddle sessions and to play with squeaky toys. Royal gets along with other dogs and would make a great family pet in just about any home.

Louise is a female two-year-old pit bull mix who was found as a stray. Although she can be timid at first, she will quickly warm up to you and show her playful and cuddly personality. She is working on her basic obedience and is proving to be a great student. Louise also enjoys the company of fellow canines and would do best in a home with children 12-years-old and older and ideally with another dog to keep her company.
