Councilman Tom Dwyer Stresses Winter Safety at “Jack Frost” Seminar
North Hempstead, NY – Councilman Tom Dwyer spoke to a chorus of residents at the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center on December 7 about the importance of taking precautionary measures to combat the dangers of the winter season. The seminar, “Getting Ready for Jack Frost”, urged residents to use a variety of tools at their disposal that were outlined by “Project Independence”, North Hempstead’s ambitious “aging in place” initiative.
“Hearing the concerns of many residents during these cold, winter months was extremely important for me and finding innovative ways to assist them,” said Councilman Tom Dwyer. “We have a very diverse and growing population, and making sure that we can comfort those in need will always be a top priority of my constituents.”
