Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony To Be Held at Mary Jane Davies Green
Manhasset, NY – Supervisor John Riordan and the North Hempstead Town Board invite residents to attend the annual Manhasset Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 6th. The festivities will begin at 4:15pm at Mary Jane Davies Green, located on Plandome Road in Manhasset.
The ceremony will serve as the kickoff to the holiday season, leading up to the Town’s Wonder Wonderland celebration on December 14th and 15th at Clark Botanic Garden. The program will include greetings from Town Supervisor John Riordan, a blessing from Rev. Dr. Pierce of the Community Church of Manhasset, and a presentation by the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce to the winners of the Christmas Tree Lighting poster contest.
“Our annual tree lighting ceremony is a great opportunity for us to spend time with our families and loved ones and enjoy the splendor of the holiday season,” said Supervisor John Riordan.
The event is sponsored by the Manhasset Park District, the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce, the Manhasset Lakeville Fire & Water District, and the Town of North Hempstead’s Department of Administrative Services and Community Services.
