AARP & EMPIRE SAFETY DRIVING COURSES

 

     North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman announced that the town will be sponsoring three upcoming defensive driving courses.  There will be two AARP classes for drivers 50 years and older and an Empire Safety driving course for drivers of any age.

 

      “This is a great opportunity for residents and employees to reduce insurance costs, cut penalty points and to increase personal driving safety” said Kaiman.  “I hope all those who qualify for these courses will be able to take advantage of them”.

 

       The following are the dates and times of the upcoming courses:

           AARP Defensive Driving courses have been filled and only the Empire Safety Council course is still available.

·        The AARP driving courses will be held on Thursday, October 26th and Thursday, November 2nd, 9 am to 5 pm.

·        The Empire Safety driving course will be held on Monday, October 16th and Wednesday, October 18th, 5 pm to 8 pm.  You must attend both nights to get your certificate.

 

    All classes will be held at Town Hall, 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset, N.Y. 11030.

 

     To register for an AARP class make a check out to AARP in the amount of $10.00.  To register for the Empire Safety course make a check out to Steve Donnolly for $35.00.  Your place will be reserved when your check is received and a confirmation letter will be mailed to you.  Please make sure your check has your name, address, phone number and date of the class you wish to attend.  Your phone number is important in case the course must be cancelled.
