TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD TO HOLD FIRST ANNUAL SENIOR HALLOWEEN DANCE

New Hyde Park, NY - North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Angelo Ferrara announced today that the Town of North Hempstead would be holding its First Annual Senior Halloween Dance at Clinton G. Martin Park in New Hyde Park on Halloween Day, Tuesday, October 31st, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

“Although we generally think of Halloween as a holiday for children to dress up and go trick-or-treating, the Town is going to make Halloween a treat for seniors as well,” said Kaiman.

Clinton G. Martin Park is located at the corner of Marcus Avenue & New Hyde Park Road in New Hyde Park.  Seniors are encouraged to dress up in costumes, and a prize will be awarded for the best costume.  Seniors should bring their own bagged lunch. The Town will serve coffee and dessert.

“The day will be filled with ‘boo-gie’ music and witch’s brews,” added Councilman Ferrara.  “And there will be lots of ghoulish surprises.”

Interested residents should call 311 or the Department of Community Services at (516) 869-7715.
