New Parking Restrictions on Dennis Street in Manhasset

North Hempstead, NY –North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Council Member Anna Kaplan would like to inform residents about the new parking restrictions on Dennis Street in Manhasset that have been designed to alleviate some of the concerns about the congestion in that area, especially during the school year.

Under the newly passed legislation, stopping, parking and U-turns are no longer permitted in front of the residential homes on Dennis Street on school days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Parents and students who are looking to enter Manhasset Middle School and Manhasset High School must use the entrance at Memorial Place.

One hour parking will be permitted along the north side of Dennis Street for those using the tennis courts. Residents should look at the signage for the designated locations.

The Town’s Parking Enforcement division will be actively monitoring the area. Those found to be in non-compliance will be given warnings and tickets will be issued for those who continue to violate the restrictions.

For more information call the Town’s Call Center at 311.

Serving over 222,000 people, the Town of North Hempstead’s governing body is headed by the Town Supervisor, Judi Bosworth and six Town Board members: Viviana L. Russell, Peter J. Zuckerman, Angelo P. Ferrara, Anna M. Kaplan, Lee R. Seeman and Dina M. De Giorgio. The Town Clerk is Wayne Wink and the Receiver of Taxes is Charles Berman.
