Town to Hold Christmas Tree Lighting at “Yes We Can” Community Center Sponsored by the Nets

Festivities include music, hot chocolate and a visit from Santa


North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Town Council Woman Viviana Russell and the Town Board are proud to announce that the Town will be holding the 4th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the “Yes We Can” Community Center (YWC) in Westbury on Monday, December 3 at 5 p.m. The tree, a newly-planted 14 foot Norway Spruce, was donated by the Long Island Nets. The Nets use the YWC facility for their practices.

The celebration will also include performances by the “Yes We Can” Community Band and “Yes We Can” Choir, as well as a visit from Santa, courtesy of the Westbury Fire Department and free hot chocolate provided by the Salvation Army.
