Supervisor, Council Member Lurvey & Tax Receiver Join for Tax Grievance Workshop
Event Co-Sponsored by Great Neck Chinese Association

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Council Member Veronica Lurvey and Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman have teamed up with the Great Neck Chinese Association to offer a FREE Tax Grievance Workshop on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 7 p.m. – 9.p.m. at the Great Neck Library. There will be a volunteer on hand to help with translations for those in attendance.

During this seminar, Tax Receiver Berman will explain the Assessment Grievance process and why it is so important to try to have your assessment reduced. This seminar will help you file a property assessment grievance on your own using the “Correction of Property Tax Assessment” application that will be available at the workshop. The filing period ends April 30, 2019.

It is helpful to bring your Notice of Tentative Assessed Value for 2020/2021 which you would have received from the Nassau County Department of Assessment.

The Great Neck Library is located at 159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck, 11023.

For more information please call 311 or 516-869-6311.
