Town Announces Fourth Annual Clark Botanic Garden Spring Festival!
Special Events to Commemorate CBG 50th Anniversary
North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board will be welcoming spring with the Fourth Annual Clark Botanic Garden Spring Festival on Saturday, May 4 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson.
The Spring Festival will celebrate spring and the beauty of nature at the lovely Clark Botanic Garden. There will also be many special events to commemorate Clark Botanic Garden’s 50th Anniversary! The day-long event will feature:
• Fairies on stilts from the National Circus Project, an organization that aims to encourage children to learn and have fun at the same time.
• A craft tent run by The Little Art Studio
• An exotic animal show by Nature Nick
• Live musical performances by Tiger Rose
• Teddy Roosevelt re-enactor
• Face painting
“In honor of Clark Botanic Garden celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the celebration at Spring Festival will be bigger than ever!” said Supervisor Bosworth. “Bring the whole family for this festival to celebrate spring which will be blooming with activities, performances and of course the beautiful tulips and other flowers throughout the garden.”
This year’s event will also feature free 1 hour nature walks through the garden. The walks will be happening at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Registration is required for the walks. All attendees can enjoy the 12 beautifully-manicured acres of Clark Botanic Garden which includes labeled gardens, trees, ponds and streams and provides an oasis of peace and aesthetic enjoyment for all. Clark Botanic Garden is located at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson.
