Long Island Nets to Host FREE Basketball Clinics This Summer

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board are pleased to be once again joining together with the Long Island Nets, the G League affiliate team of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, to host three free basketball clinics throughout the Town this summer.

Since the team’s relocation to Long Island in April of 2017 after playing their inaugural at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the Nets have provided countless free youth basketball clinics across Nassau and Suffolk County.

“We are thrilled that the Long Island Nets will once again be hosting these clinics for our residents. This summer children will be able to learn something new about basketball from the experts themselves!” said Supervisor Bosworth.

The clinics are designed for boys and girls ages 6 through 13. Attendees must be residents of the Town of North Hempstead and must pre-register for the clinic.

Clinic will include:

  • Thursday, July 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Broadway Park (151 Broadway, Garden City Park)
  • Thursday, August 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fuschillo Park (Carle Road at Broadmoor Lane, Carle Place)
  • Thursday, August 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Whitney Pond Park (981 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset)

Space is limited. To register for the clinic, please call 311 or 516-869-6311.
