Clark Botanic Garden to be Closed to Public, Saturday, September 21 for Gala

North Hempstead, NY – The Town’s Clark Botanic Garden, located at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson, will be closed to the public on Saturday, September 21 for a special event. The Garden’s Fanny Dwight Memorial Garden Inc. will be hosting its 50th Anniversary Gala.

The Gala in the Garden will include a dedication of a new moonlight garden to the Clark family, followed by music from the Sixties and an alfresco cocktail party. For more information visit: Clark Gala.

The Gala, which will begin at 6 p.m., will feature hot and cold passed hors d’œuvres, wine and beer, and a full hot and cold buffet dinner followed by dessert and coffee.
• Dance and enjoy the nostalgic music of the period with the Just Sixties band.
• Hear Poet Laureate of Nassau County, Linda Opyr, deliver her original poem in commemoration of the garden’s anniversary.
• Stroll to the newly dedicated Louisa Clark Spencer Moonlight Garden outside the library.

The garden will re-open to the public on Sunday, September 22 at 10 a.m.
