Town Hosts 5th Regional Aging In Place Conference & Expo

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, in coordination with Project Independence, recently hosted the 5th Regional Aging In Place Conference & Expo on Tuesday, October 29 at Harbor Links Golf Course. The conference is designed to provide vital information and a connection to services for the Town’s senior residents.

“It is a priority for me and my administration that we provide as many opportunities as possible for our seniors to remain here in North Hempstead and in their homes,” said Supervisor Bosworth. “I am proud of the incredible work done by our Project Independence team to put on yet another successful Aging In Place Conference for our residents.”

Attendees were given the opportunity to stop at vendor booths to learn about a variety of different subjects including healthcare systems, human services, transportation, housing, accessibility products and services, among many others. Additionally, attendees were able to attend two panel presentations which discussed veterans’ benefits and entitlements, and Medicare 2020 updates.

The conference was primarily sponsored by Northwell Health. Other sponsors included Parker Jewish Institutes, AgeWell New York, AARP, Ear Works, Ronald Fatoullah, Esq, Gurwin Family of Healthcare Services, and United Lifeline.
