Town to Host Free Virtual Winter Craft Workshop for Kids
Craft kits to be distributed at Clark Garden’s Holiday Lights Event

North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board, in partnership with muddworks of Great Neck, are proud to announce due to popular demand a new virtual winter holiday craft workshop for children in North Hempstead has been added. The craft kit will feature a wooden gingerbread house which can be constructed and decorated. Kits will be available to children, ages 4 to 8, residing in North Hempstead.

“We have distributed hundreds of kits to our residents throughout the Town. So many families have told us how much their children have enjoyed these at home crafts and we wanted to provide more way for them to have fun while staying safe at home,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “We hope families enjoy the beautiful lights at Clark Garden and stop by to pick up a craft kit.”

Beginning on Monday, December 21, 2020 at noon, visit: YouTube.com/TownOfNorthHempstead to watch the step-by-step instructional video for the project.

There will be a limit of two kits per household, and there are a limited number of supplies. Starting Saturday, December 19, 2020, residents can request the crafts at the front gate of Clark Botanic Garden from the hours of 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The crafts will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis and while supplies last. Please call 311 or 516-869-6311 for more information.
