Program for Cats sponsored by P.A.W.S.

Manhasset, NY—North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman announced today that the Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) would be providing Free Spay & Neuter service for the cats of North Hempstead residents, during the month of April 2008. PAWS is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting respect for all living things, as well as attempting to curb the growing companion animal population.

“I would like to thank P.A.W.S. for offering the Free Spay & Neuter service for the cats of North Hempstead residents,” said Supervisor Jon Kaiman. “The Town of North Hempstead encourages residents to help control the pet population by taking advantage of this service.”

The cost of surgical procedures will be covered by P.A.W.S. Other fees that maybe incurred will become the responsibility of the client. To receive a voucher for a veterinarian send a self-addressed stamped envelope, with the number and gender of cats, to PAWS, P.O. Box 861, Hicksville, NY 11802-0861.
