Town Hosts Holiday Card Campaign
North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board have announced that the Town will be launching a holiday card writing campaign benefiting local veterans, the Wounded Warrior Project, servicemen, and servicewomen overseas.
“North Hempstead is so grateful to the members of our armed forces who have given so selflessly of themselves to protect us all,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “This holiday season we are proud to once again present this card writing campaign as a small token of our immense appreciation, and we encourage our residents to spread some cheer by writing a card to these brave heroes.”
Cards should be unsealed in an envelope and can be dropped off at:
• Michael J. Tully Park at 1801 Evergreen Ave, New Hyde Park - Entrance
• “Yes We Can” Community Center at 141 Garden Street, Westbury – Entrance Vestibule
• Town Hall at 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset – Basement Entrance
• Port Washington Parking District at 15 Vanderventer Avenue, Port Washington – Under outdoor awning
The Town is asking for cards to be dropped off no later than Tuesday, December 28.
