Supervisor DeSena and Town Clerk Srivastava Call for Nominations for 29th Annual Women’s Roll of Honor
North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jenn DeSena and Town Clerk Ragini Srivastava are calling for nominations for the 2022 May W. Newburger Women’s Roll of Honor now until Friday, April 29, 2022.
Anyone interested in submitting a name for consideration may call North Hempstead’s 311 Call Center or log-on to the Town’s website (www.northhempsteadny.gov/roll-of-honor) and download the application.
“Town Clerk Srivastava and I are proud to continue the tradition of celebrating the incredible women in our Town with this year’s 29th annual Women’s Roll of Honor,” Supervisor DeSena said. “The Town of North Hempstead is fortunate to have an abundance of outstanding women who exemplify the strength and service it takes to be a community leader, and I look forward to this year’s Women’s Roll of Honor ceremony to further shine a light on our amazing community members.”
Event Chairperson and Town Clerk Ragini Srivastava spoke of the exciting plans for the event which traditionally has been celebrated in March during Women’s History Month and which will be held this year on Friday, June 24, 2022.
“Long Island has always been known for its wealth of resources. The greatest of these is the gift of human resources and the strength and capacity of our volunteers. During our month-long celebration we should reflect on the many talented, energetic, and dedicated women in the Town of North Hempstead who are deserving of public recognition. Their selfless contributions are worthy of note and continue to make a difference in the quality of life that we enjoy. I encourage our residents to consider that special person in their community as a nominee.”
The Breakfast and Ceremony to honor our 2022 Honorees will be held at Harbor Links Golf Club, One Fairway Drive, Port Washington, on Friday, June 24, 2022. Invitations will be going out this week.
Since 1994, North Hempstead has held the Women’s Roll of Honor to celebrate women who reside in the Town.
