Town Announces Use of Echo Park Pool
Manhasset, NY—In light of extensive renovations being undertaken at Tully Park pool in New Hyde Park, Supervisor Jon Kaiman announced today that North Hempstead residents will now be able to use the Town of Hempstead’s indoor pool at Echo Park effective for the entire 2009 calendar year.
A special lap swimming period is held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7-10 a.m. The facility includes a diving tank, men's and women's sauna and weight rooms, lockers and a snack bar. The complex is also the location of many regularly-scheduled exercise and swim classes. Interested persons should inquire at the pool's 2nd floor administration office.
Rates for Echo Park Pool are as follows: Yearly Family Membership is $646.25. Yearly Individual Membership is $327.00. A September through December family membership is $306.00. Half year family membership is $426.00. A half year individual membership is $161.00. Daily admission adult is $11.00 and daily admission for children from 5 to 9 years is $5.50.
The Tully Park pool will be completely rebuilt and will feature improved handicap access, water slides and aquatic play features, and a new exercise room overlooking the pool, among other things.
Construction on the $11.7 million project is slated to begin in March and completed by February 2010.
