"It's a Small World"

Multicultural Holiday Celebration at Clark Garden

 

            Manhasset, NY – Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Tom Dwyer announced today that the Town of North Hempstead would be hosting numerous celebrations for the holiday season.  The multicultural holiday celebration, sponsored by Fidelity Investments and entitled “It’s a Small World,” will be held at Clark Garden from December 12th through December 19th for all to enjoy. 

 

            Come join in the celebration of Latin America on Sunday, December 12th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a delightful fashion show accompanied by music and native costumes from many Latin American countries around the world.  Broadway star, Dino Quarleri, will dazzle audiences with a musical performance.  Monday, December 13th at 7:00 p.m. a celebration of Chanukah will take place.  Cantor Lisa Hest of Temple Beth-El of Great Neck will host a wonderful concert featuring the Junior Choir of Temple Beth-El in a celebration of song and stories of the Festival of Lights.  Come celebrate Kwanzaa Tuesday, December 14th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a traditional celebration with the lighting of the candles, music and dance.  Come get in the Christmas spirit with Mrs. Claus and friends on Friday, December 17th at 6:30 p.m. with the reading of The Polar Express.  Following story time all are welcome to join in a sing-a-long featuring the Twelve Days of Christmas. 

 

            Anna Elias and her group of young virtuosos will perform many of your holiday favorites during a piano recital on Sunday, December 19th at 1:00 p.m.  During your joyous visit to the Clark Botanic Garden don’t forget to visit The Shop for all of your holiday needs this season.  Holiday greenery, wreaths, botanical ornaments, jewelry and much more are available.

 

            Councilman Dwyer added that, “I am excited by the many different celebration events that are taking part at the Clark Botanical Garden this holiday season.  I urge residents to get in the holiday spirit and join in the festivities.”
