Manhasset, NY – Supervisor Jon Kaiman today welcomed the Town of North Hempstead’s newest code enforcement officer Robert Sanchez.  Mr. Sanchez, who is fluent in Spanish, joins the Town as part of the Supervisor’s ongoing efforts to more aggressively enforce Town codes and laws.

“I am happy to have Robert join our enforcement team, raising the overall number of Town inspectors to 21,” said Supervisor Kaiman.  “Since January of 2004 the Town has instituted a more aggressive enforcement policy which has resulted in increasing revenues by 500%.”

The Town’s Division of Code Enforcement administers and enforces Town laws, ordinances and regulations in the Town's unincorporated areas.  These laws generally are aimed at keeping the Town's residential and commercial areas clean and safe.  Residents who wish to report what they believe to be a violation of the Town Code can contact the office at (516) 869-7628.
