The meeting will be held on Monday, March 4 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the “Yes We Can” Community Center, 141 Garden St. Westbury, NY. Those attending the meeting will be informed of the plan’s progress and invited to share ideas on topics they would like to see included.

A meeting for Suffolk County residents is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Islip Town Hall West, 401 Main Street Islip, NY. An East End meeting will be held March 6 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Rd, Southampton, NY.

The eight-month-long planning process is scheduled to be completed by the end of April, 2013.

As well as the Town of North Hempstead, the steering committee for the Long Island region also consists of Vision Long Island, the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College, the Community Development Corporation of Long Island and AECOM.
